Brief History

The F-35 has been critical for the most compelling missions in the United States. After the grounding of the F-22 Raptor in 2016, the United States Air Force and United States Navy have relied on the innovative features of the fighter jet with upgraded technologies and defensive maneuvers ensuring success on foreign lands.

Understanding the changing landscape of this field, the US Department of Defense Joint Staff has determined to remain superior in aviation, improvements and additions of pilot simulation software will be vital.

Opportunity

Pilots are required to go through mandatory flight school and practice daily routines to maintain exceptional and satisfactory standards. Through a simulation powered by immersive technologies and software that can better prepare pilots for flight patterns, trainings, and combative maneuvers, the DOD will be able to increase success rates on missions and increased protection for homeland security.

Innovation

The Agency would go through a customized framework assessment for the current architecture in place. From there, we would implement the server, hybrid cloud solution for sensitive and propriety data of the US Government. The testing and beta phases would be rolled out in an agile format collaborating with pilots and related personnel who will be beneficiaries of this product. Virtual and augmented reality components will also be able to be leveraged as the software is deployed to military installations around the world.

Impact

Through this development, we hope to achieve the 3 following areas:

  1. Customized training for better pilot experience and increased safety
  2. Assisting in the advancement of modern and future military technologies
  3. Serving Veterans and military families by providing support through deployment as they return home on domestic soil
